Sr Manager Information Governance and Deputy Data Protection Officer

Rate: up to £585 (Inside IR35)

Location: London or Sheffield

A well reputed financial sector client is looking for a Sr Manager Information Governance and Deputy Data Protection Officer to join their team on a 2 months contract basis.

In this role you will:

• Assisting the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in fulfilling their responsibilities outlined in the client's Information Risk Management Framework.
• Ensuring the company handles and responds to information rights requests in compliance with legal obligations.
• Maintaining and monitoring procedures for Data Protection Impact Assessments and collaborating with Legal and procurement subject matter experts to ensure thorough due diligence of suppliers.
• Providing advice, support, and training to their employees on data protection compliance and Information Governance.

Essential Skills:

• Demonstrable Data protection and/or information risk professional with subject matter expertise in Data Protection/GDPR, Freedom of Information, Records Management and Information Risk
• Proficiency in working with or auditing information risk control frameworks such as ISO 27001.
• Ability to translate legislation or legal advice into clear, business-focused procedures, guidance, and training.
• Track record of implementing organizational change to establish a culture of Data Protection by Design compliance.
