You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with Senior Managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.
The role is a senior Learning and Development (L&D) professional ideally with a background in Sustainability and professional services. You’ll join our Sustainability and ESG Hub who are part of our Advisory Team. You’ll actively engage with senior stakeholders to develop a robust L&D strategy to design and run both the technical and training developmental. This covers aspects of the Sustainability and ESG programme/academy for all Foundation, Basic and Mainstream levels. The individual will report to the Sustainability and ESG Hub L&D lead. You’ll work across the business including the ESG Hub and key senior stakeholders (including L&D) from across BDO to ensure that both technical and operational best practice is considered.
You’ll be someone with
- Demonstrable experience in L&D design, development methodologies and delivery of programmes that encompasses change management, upskilling staff and new recruits
- General knowledge of Sustainability and ESG-related concepts and regulations
- Professional services background ideally in accountancy or demonstrable relevant industry experience
- A change focus with the ability and willingness to challenge existing practices and influence more senior individuals, peers and across the firm
- An innovative approach and creatively, bring new ideas to the development of the programme/academy
- A collobroative approach but equally comfortable working independently using own initiative but transparently and collaboratively works part of a small team
- A passion for Sustainability and people with strong written and oral communication skills
- High attention to detail taking personal responsibility and accountability for own work
- Strong problem-solving skills, project management and administrative skills
