The Buy-side Equity Sales reports to Head of Equity Trading Sales LSEG's Capital Markets function.
The role will be responsible for developing and executing an ambitious Buyside client growth strategy aligned to Group strategic objectives centered around market share, product yield and revenue.
The strategy is focused on building out buyside client franchises across LSE and Turquoise platforms; driving usage growth of those who interact across the spectrum of LSEG's equity orderbooks of all relevant asset and trade types. The candidate will leverage the full output of the quantitative analysis capabilities within Capital Markets and providing strategic insights to support both product adoption, and growth product usage with a real focus on higher yielding products such as Block trading, Dark trading and auctions.
Strong consideration should include leveraging industry partnerships which can accelerate growth eg Turquoise Plato.
This is a high-profile industry role, featuring thought leadership to increase daily intensity of how we cover our core Buy side client franchise, driving proactive media & representing LSEG and Capital Markets as required, including attendance of important functions, industry events and public meetings. Strategic elements involve Client engagement, innovation, and policy that shape the enlarged Business, Capital Markets and LSEG.
Key responsibilities
• Reports to Head of UK and European Equity Sales, has primary responsibility for growing UK &European Core Secondary Equities buyside franchise across the full suite of LSE, Turquoise and ETP products . Role is London based and employed on hybrid work week basis.
• The individual will have the key responsibility to identify strategies that can contribute to the growth potential of the securities trading business across Buy Side client franchise.
• Supports Securities Trading colleagues and wider Capital Markets business heads in overall direction, strategy and vision for the securities trading team that influences the wallet of the buyside which includes a range of activities (e.g., product, sales).
• Manages the Buy side client commercial performance for the securities trading business, keeping a strong eye on revenue, market share, expenses, and cost drivers, as well as market opportunities / forces affecting these.
• Ensure strong communication on client feedback to Identify emerging strategic opportunities within the business which may extend the products and services available to clients through the innovation, partnership, or acquisition of new business areas.

Skills and experience
• Extensive experience in equity market structures.
• Knowledge of data analytics and management strategies preferable.
• Strong experience defining and executing strategy and delivery in an international, large-scale organisation. Deep knowledge of global capital markets as well as LSEG's business, members, products, services, competitive and regulatory landscape.
• Ability to represent the company in the marketplace with clients, regulatory and industry bodies, and participate in industry events and public meetings.
• Established and extensive network of industry participants across customer segments.
