We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Manager – WPB Risk Unsecured Portfolio.

In this role, you will:

•    Drive implementation of transformational change and management of the Unsecured Lending Transformation Project (ULTP)
•    Support the management of credit risk, credit practices and portfolio quality across HSBC Group’s Unsecured retail banking operations. 
•    Provide inputs in the setting of Risk Appetite at a global and regional level, so that credit risk appetite aligns with group strategy, and that portfolios are managed to achieve risk and loss levels within the risk appetite parameters. 
•    Help identify key credit risks in the global portfolio and perform independent review and challenge to ensure proper solutions are being deployed to manage the risks appropriately.
•    Evaluate and critically challenge regional and country credit risk management decisions, portfolio quality and practices.  

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Must have prior experience in managing Retail Unsecured portfolios
•    Strong knowledge and use of analytics and modelling with a proven track record of strengthening risk management capabilities in a portfolio or business.
•    Thorough ability to liaise with senior stakeholders across multiple regions and can demonstrate ability to attain buy-in.
•    Ability to demonstrate analytical approach in finding solutions to complex problems around Unsecured Lending.
•    Ability to critique regional decisions, practices and capabilities where required. 

The base location for this role is London / Hybrid.
