We are now looking for a Senior Marketing Manager with experience of growing social brands, to deliver strategic marketing plans and campaigns to keep the Guardian top of mind with our audience.
In this role you’ll use your strategic vision and creative insight to focus on these key initiatives:
- Finding ways of telling our unique brand story on social in order to grow a prospect pool that the Digital Reader Revenue team can convert into paying subscribers and supporters
- Growing our key podcast properties as social-first brands, driving engagement that brings followers closer to our shows and talent
About the Role:
- Collaborate closely with the wider Marketing team, P&L owners, and Editorial colleagues to devise strategies and lead the delivery of the Guardian's social marketing activities.
- Oversee social-first strategies, content creation, campaign planning, activation, and optimization.
- Lead a small team, supporting their professional growth and development.
- Managing budgets- driving costs down and effectiveness up
- Collaborate with agencies and internal teams to ensure that all paid marketing initiatives have relevant, cost-effective media plans.
About You
- Proven experience in growing successful social brands
- Proficiency in social campaign planning, reporting, and evaluation
- Exceptional creative judgement with demonstrable content planning and execution skills
- Ability to oversee, plan and create engaging multimedia content for social/video platforms
- Comprehensive brand and product knowledge
- Previous experience in people management
- Experience of managing budgets
- Passionate about advertising, marketing and an avid podcast listener
