Our client is an ambitious Sustainable Building Services and Lighting Design Consultancy operating in multiple UK regions, covering a wide range of mechanical and electrical engineering solutions including sustainability, building physics, and Passivhaus. Their award-winning projects cover all sectors across the industry including cultural, heritage, education, healthcare, and rail.
The opportunity:
· Due to our clients continued growth, they are currently looking for Senior Mechanical Engineers to join their central London team.
· You will work closely with colleagues across their London, Oxford, Cambridge and Manchester offices. All under the guidance of your line manager, Principal Engineer, and project leaders.
· They are looking for candidates who have confidence in the design of mechanical services and efficiency in design software.
What will you do?
You will be working closely with other team members seeing projects through from inception to completion and handover.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Leading project surveys
- Feasibility studies
- Design on various heritage, education, healthcare, and rail projects
- Specifications
- On-site supervision
- Contract administration
- Management of mechanical services installations
- Mentoring and helping junior engineers in your team.
What they are looking for:
- A recognized mechanical or building services engineering qualification at degree level.
- Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in building services design
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members
- Project experience across different sectors of the industry
- Revit and Hevacomp experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Accurate, good organisational, and prioritisation skills
- Own transport and driving license
- Competent in using Microsoft Office
