We are working alongside a leading global manufacturer who are looking to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to add to their team of 4.
Working closely with internal teams including project management, sales, service, quality, purchasing and production; you will be undertaking design for manufacture of equipment for the healthcare sector.
Key duties will include;
- Design of components and assemblies, creating new designs and improving existing designs
- Undertake design review and signoffs
- Design and execution of experiments, validation and verification to support concepts, simulation activities and validate performance
- Generation of CAD bills of materials and undertake the maintenance of the company MRP
- Gather and interpret technical specification documents to regulatory & customer requirements
- Support design and engineering activities within the business
- Undertaking Design changes (ECN)
- Product and prototype testing, signoff improvements
- Updating and changes to existing engineering drawings
For this role the successful applicant will possess;
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Design Engineering
- Experience of working within a Design Engineering role
- Experience of undertaking electrical / electro-Mechanical Design, experience of loom design, drives and controls is advantageous
- Product and systems design experience of rotating assemblies, electro-mechanical components, electronic control systems, sheet metal design, injection moulding and castings
- Design for manufacture appreciation
