As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer ensures seamless integration of mechanical solutions into naval vessels and providing mentorship to junior engineers, this role fosters skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.

The Role:

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for naval vessels, leveraging extensive company heritage.
• Designing and developing the mechanical components of enclosures, cabinets, and consoles, with a strong focus on ruggedization for challenging environments throughout the entire lifecycle
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of mechanical solutions into naval vessels, meeting rigorous specifications and standards.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering skill development within the team.
• Deliver tailored mechanical solutions that exceed customer expectations.

The Person:

• Experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Sheet Metal Fabrication and Manufacturing background
• Experience with analysis tools
• A background in the maritime, Naval, or Defence sectors (advantageous)
