£45,000 > £55,000 (DOE)

Monday to Friday – 9am > 5pm

We are recruiting for a young and exciting business in Suffolk who are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer.

KEY DUTIES

• Lead Mechanical Design projects to create bespoke special purpose packaging production machines
• Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Electrical & Control Engineers to realize their solutions
• Create detailed tolerance engineering drawings of components to be sent out for manufacture
• Analysis and troubleshoot prototype machine designs
• Research new methods, practices, and materials to drive innovation within the team

CRITERIA

• Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering / equivalent
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Able to demonstrate complex special purpose machine design / concept to production
• Excellent working knowledge of SolidWorks
• Understanding of Finite Element Analysis
