SalaryAn industry leading Aerospace company is seeking a Contract Design Engineer to join their engineering team. Based in Torfaen, you will benefit from a start salary of £45ph (DOE) and Hybrid working.
As a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Concept to completion Design Engineering of products
- 3D CAD using CATIA V5
- Working with both composite materials alongside metallic mechanisms and their mechanical function.
- Working in line with regulatory requirements and industry regulations.
- To work in accordance with costs, quality manufacturability and performance.
- Producing engineering change notices and support for the manufacturing functions.
To be a successful Contract Mechanical Design Engineer you will have:
- Qualified to degree level in either PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng. In Design Engineering or similar discipline.
- Experience of working on tolerance stack-ups and GD&T
- Strong knowledge of basic mechanical principles.
- A passion for innovation and future technologies.
- 3D CAD such as CATIA.
- Experience of working on Product Lifecycle Management.
- Experience of working on Aerospace/Automotive interior products.
- Experience managing teams.
As a Contract Design Engineer, you will receive:
- £45 to £50 per hour.
- Inside IR35
- Hybrid working
- 5-day payment terms
