This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, Senior Mechanical Engineer, with a high level of expertise in areas such as mechanical, thermal and electrical systems engineering, to join a highly-successful company at the forefront of Aerospace innovation in a newly-created role.
The Role
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will build strong relationships with with customers to understand requirements, and will design lightweight, robust, low-cost, stowage-efficient mechanisms, to support structures deployment and operations in Space, undertaking all aspects of Mechanical Engineering surrounding the design, development and production. Managing individual packages of work, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will prioritise tasks, delegate work, and assume overall responsibility for the cost and schedule budget apportioned to the work package in hand.

What do I need?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a science subject
- A detailed understanding of/experience in at least one of: mechanical, thermal, electrical systems, systems engineering
- Demonstrative experience with at least one of gears, motors and mechanisms
- Experience with software packages for Mechanical Design
- Experience gained within a regulated industry such as Space, Nuclear, Aerospace, Automotive, etc.
