Senior Mechanical Engineer

A leading nuclear engineering company is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a long term contract basis for some of their most exciting projects in the nuclear space.

• Location - Preston
• Contract Length - 12 Months
• Pay Rates - Up To £60 Hour Umbrella

This role will be perfect for a well experienced and knowledgeable Senior Mechanical Engineer who has vast time spent in the highly regulated fields and sectors associated.

Key Competencies/Experiences:

• Review, Produce and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports as assigned.
• Assess all changes and implications of changes and concession queries
• Ensure all the design intent and integrity is maintained throughout the design lifecycle
• Ensure all technical issues are evaluated and communicated to the wider team to ensure problems can be solved accordingly.
• Provide any required support to the PM and Planning control team
• Ensure the health and safety is followed at all times
• Experience in managing the engineering scope for projects from conceptual design to full engineering.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum HNC/HND in Engineering, or equivalent experience.in relevant engineering discipline (demonstrable experience)
• Chartered (Desired)
• Vast knowledge in nuclear/defence projects
