What we are looking for

We are looking for a driven and knowledgeable B2B media professional to join our growing EMEA Media Planning team. As part of this team, you'll be responsible for building Media plans and strategy decks for clients. You’ll select publishers and partners, ensuring their capabilities are well presented and fit for the brief, whilst also negotiating the best possible rates. You'll be responsible for campaign insights and buying optimization during campaigns. Collaboration and communication are essential across multiple stakeholders inclusive of delivery teams, and you will be required to support them for assistance in campaign bookings and ensure that the correct booking details have also been agreed upon prior to actioning. You'll take an interest in the evolving media landscape and share industry trends that may impact buying. What you will do

Client management:

  • Develop close working relationships with our clients
  • Build plans that address client briefs, offering different options for reaching campaign goals, considering budgets and KPIs
  • Provide responses and comms for clients within agreed timeframes

Strategy & planning:

  • Build integrated plans, supporting brief interpretation with little to no supervision
  • Create strategic plans, starting to utilise larger budgets
  • Provide detailed handovers to delivery teams and other teams within the agency
  • Gather consumer and competitor media insights and assess how these may impact our own media plans, sharing with the team.

Supplier engagement:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the media landscape and build a good working knowledge and opinion of new and emerging tactics
  • Build strong working relationships with media owners and develop knowledge of tactical strengths and weaknesses
  • Have a commercial understanding of costs when working with suppliers
  • Leveraging publisher relationships to achieve the best possible rates for our clients

Commercials / financial management

  • Understand spend levels, and underlying commercials behind Media Planning

Reporting:

  • Support the team with observations into pacing, progress, and performance and provide potential resolution suggestions to improve campaigns.

Insight:

  • Leverage your understanding of the publisher and tactic ecosystem to justify the strategy behind a media plan.
  • Bring your understanding of historical performance, markets, and trends to further justify plans.

Requirements

What you will need:

  • Agency or client-side Media buying is a must with knowledge of key channels.
  • Understanding of the B2B space, with an emphasis on Technology & Software
  • Previous B2B2 Media buying experience of both online and offline Media is preferable.
  • Demonstrable experience planning and buying media across multiple channels – lead generation, programmatic, search, and social
  • Proficient with IT including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience of planning tools and processes preferable.
  • Experience of scoping, estimating, and negotiation.
