Job Title: Senior Men’s Futsal Head Coach

Location: Belfast

Our client the IFA are currently looking to source a Player Status Administrator to join their team on a temporary casual basis.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The postholder will be responsible for the delivery of coaching sessions and overseeing matches of the Senior Men’s International Futsal squad for the next qualifying campaign. The role will also require the postholder to carry out trial processes in order to select squads for friendly matches and qualifying campaigns. The role with be subject to review after the period of the first campaign.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead responsibility for the delivery of Senior Men’s International Futsal coaching sessions and overseeing of matches.
  • Work in collaboration with the Northern Ireland Futsal Federation and other Domestic Associations to deliver trial/scouting processes in order to select squads for competitive matches.
  • Work in collaboration with the International Futsal coaching and medical support team.
  • Carry out media responsibilities in line with the requirements of the role and represent the Irish Football Association in a professional manner at all times.
  • Service the Irish Football Association’s policies in line with its development plans.
  • Adhere to and actively support at all times company policies, procedures, processes and working practices, including adhering to best practice.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.

Note: In the interests of the efficient management of the Foundation, the duties described in the above job description will be reviewed periodically and may be subject to modification or amendment after consultation with the postholder.

The role with be subject to review after the period of the first campaign

Hours of work:

The hours would generally be two weekend camps per year, 1 set of friendlies (3 days) and 1 qualifying tournament (5 days).

Essential Criteria:

  • Possess or be working towards a UEFA Futsal B Licence (evidence to be produced of completion or enrolment)
  • A minimum of three years’ experience of coaching domestically within a top division
  • Strong tactical and technical knowledge of the game
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills: oral and written.

Desirable Criteria:

  • A minimum of two years’ experience of coaching within a national team or A minimum of four years’ experience of playing within a national team.
  • Experience of dealing with the media
