The opportunity & role
Role Purpose
Working from either our Manchester, London, Leeds or Liverpool offices you will responsible for providing bespoke mortgage advice to a diverse range of clients spanning across a multitude of sectors and locations.
Role Responsibilities
- Building a strong internal network amongst colleagues of the firm in order to identify opportunities
- Servicing enquiries from clients of the wider firm and within your own network
- Undertaking detailed analysis of a client’s situation and, undertaking market research and making appropriate recommendations
- Ensuring clients are informed of and understand those solutions that best meet their needs
- Drafting suitability reports and associated paperwork to a high standard
- Liaising with providers to completion
- Communicating effectively with clients
- Ensuring all relevant documentation held within a client file is compliant
- Ensuring the firm’s compliance processes and procedures at all times
- Complying with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FCA’s Statements of Principle and Code of Practice, as well as the relevant rules from the FCA, at all times
- Keeping up to date with relevant regulatory, product, legislative, and technical requirements
Knowledge Skills & Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Robust experience working as ideally an independent mortgage broker
- Qualified in CeMAP or equivalent
- CAS status with current employer
- Record of hitting and exceeding revenue targets
- A good technical knowledge across a range of mortgage products
- Strong networking skills and ability to establish relationships with clients
- Excellent time and organisational skills
- A flexible and dynamic approach to work
- Discretion and an understanding of the need for client confidentiality.
