Group Communications & Infrastructure
Looking to be part of non-stop innovation? Join our Group Communications and Infrastructure team and you’ll work alongside experts in broadband, telephony, mobile, cloud and infrastructure. We’re the team that crafts, builds, supports and maintains the enterprise networks across the whole Sky Group. Together, we help Sky broadband, mobile and TV enter new markets by creating a single and secure enterprise network infrastructure for the amazing content and services that keep our customers coming back for more.
What you’ll do
The team is responsible for producing and documenting designs and standards plus implementing the network infrastructure for the changing business needs. The role will focus on Sky’s Enterprise Network but will also offer the opportunity to work on various projects across the whole IP network, including the Edge & Services and the Core & Metro areas.
- Be central to the successful delivery of projects across the Sky group.
- Collate, analyse and confirm business technical requirements.
- Write low level network designs detailing the physical and logical solution.
- Provide a handover to the Network Implementation team who can deploy your design to the high standards Sky expects.
- Ensure all network infrastructure is managed and monitored as per standard.
- Work closely with all other technical teams to deliver best of class solutions and Lead and maintain Sky network standards and policies.
- Deliver multiple projects at the same time and be a driven individual who has a desire to deliver.
- Ownership of HLD/LLD blueprints and documents and Introduction of new technology and vendors
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience of network infrastructure implementation for large data centres and 4000+ user campus LANs.
- Experience with high end Cisco platforms such as Cisco Nexus 9k/7k/5k, Catalyst 9xxx series. F5 load balancers & Palo Alto firewalls.
- SDN including Cisco EVPN & ACI
- Public cloud connectivity, GCP, AWS, Azure
- Network automation/Basic programming/scripting ability & API usage
- Cisco Qualified Specialist in one or more of the following: Routing & Switching, Design, Security.
- Sophisticated problem analysis & troubleshooting.
