We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join a leading biotechnology company based in the Oxford,Oxfordshire area.
As the Senior Network Engineer you will be responsible for designing, deploying, managing and maintaining all aspects of the global network infrastructure, ensuring the best possible uptime and availability to support the businesses customers, goals and growth.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the Senior Network Engineer will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1.
Plan, build, and deliver new network capabilities and deployments from standards and design documents to meet the needs of the business.
2.
Maintaining network security through proper configuration of firewalls, wireless access points and VPN
3.
Maintaining multi-site network operations to support internal applications, operating systems including regular maintenance with both private and public facilities.
4.
Full lifecycle management of network devices as well as support and development of network management and monitoring systems.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Network Engineer we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1.
Relevant degree in a relevant field of study
2.
Proven industry experience in Network Engineering with pharmaceutical, life science or biotechnical experience being an added bonus
3.
A working knowledge and practical experience with areas including LAN, WAN, MAN, WiFi, VPN, OSFP, BGP, ECMP, VXLAN, AWS Cloud
