Job description

Job overview
Basingstoke Community CAMHS is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Band 7 practitioner to take on a senior role within our team.
Are you a registered nurse and NMP with leadership skills and a passion for working with young people and families? Or you might be an experienced neurodevelopmental nurse working with children and young people with ADHD, looking to further develop your skills and train as an NMP?
We have a part time position available in our team at B7, or at B6 in a developmental role, depending on your training and experience.
Specialist CAMHS is crucial in providing both assessment and targeted, evidenced-based mental health interventions for children and young people in Hampshire as well as providing pathways for neurodevelopmental diagnoses.
This post offers the Trust's £4,000 Incentive for band 5-7 Nurses & Practitioners, as well as a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 (subject to terms and conditions).
Main duties of the job
Your role will be to undertake and oversee specialist neurodevelopmental assessments and nursing interventions, supporting the neurodevelopmental team, initiating medication and providing ongoing monitoring predominantly within the ADHD pathway.
In addition to your specialist NMP role, you will support the work of the wider team by contributing to duty cover and offering initial assessments.
As a senior clinician, you will support the development of junior staff and offer clinical supervision.
Please be aware that anyone applying for a post with CAMHS Hampshire will be subject to TUPE transfer.
Under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment Regulations) (TUPE) all substantive Hampshire CAMHS staff who are employed by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPFT) will transfer to either Southern Health Foundation Trust, or to Surrey and Borders Foundation Trust. The TUPE transfer from Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust effective from 1st February 2024.
The Consultation document for TUPE transfer will be made available for all successful applicants
Working for our organisation
Hampshire CAMHS values the contributions that nursing colleagues bring and has a well-established nursing structure and strategy. Robust and supportive supervision and governance arrangements are in place so that staff are able to practice safely and effectively. The Trust is supportive of clinicians' professional development and provides access to quality training opportunities.
There is a network of NMPs within Hampshire CAMHS with a clear and supportive governance structure. As well as specialist NMP supervision, there are frequent NMP peer support and governance meetings as well as quarterly CPD meetings with medical and pharmacy colleagues.
The service prioritises staff wellbeing and we encourage our colleagues to maintain a healthy and positive work-life balance. Leadership is strong and supportive, and our ethos is to encourage people to work creatively and be innovative in their thinking to support new and different ways of working.
