Exciting opportunity to grow your career as a Senior Payments Analyst in our Operational Finance Procure To Pay (PTP) team! 

 

As a Senior Payments Analyst, you’ll support  the PTP team in ensuring payments are made in a timely, accurate and controlled manner. 

 

You’ll provide support on the operation of our SOX and business controls in relation to payment processing, ensuring all risks are fully mitigated and as well as in the development, design and testing of controls processes. 

 

We’d hope to see you in our Warwick office two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
 

What You’ll Do:
  • Support the Payments Manager and offshore payments team to enable timely, accurate and controlled payment to suppliers.
  • Production and analysis of management reports on a range of payment metrics, including payment performance, controls, process efficiency, etc.
  • Operation of Sarbanes-Oxley (Sox) and key operational payment controls
  • Lead the daily activities required to manage Payment-related Balance Sheet accounts, including the AP Clearing account, daily and aged open items and other balances as required.
  • Resolution of payment queries raised by PTP (onshore and offshore), Operational Finance and the wider business.
  • Review and revision of payment-related documentation including process narratives and flowcharts.
  • Active identification of improvements in processes and controls to enhance the payments service.
  • Work with colleagues across PTP, Operational Finance and the wider business to encourage compliance with payment processes and achievement of efficiency improvements.
  • Support for other project activity, as required, including input into design sessions, and testing of proposals.
  • Deputise for the Payments Manager on critical tasks, as required.

What You’ll Have:
  • Experience of working in a high volume PTP environment and operating key controls and working within a SOX environment.
  • Knowledge of core financial and operational processes. 
  • An accounting or audit background is desirable.
  • Knowledge of payment operations and payment system infrastructures is essential.
  • Familiar with clearing systems via Central Banks (BACS/CHAPS). Knowledge of payment card systems and administration is desirable.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge. 
  • Direct experience of AP Ledger and Balance Sheet management, eg.GRIR management. 
  • Operational knowledge of SAP S4Hana.
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of data and provide high level interpretation and insight.
  • Flexible in style, able to accommodate a variety of different attitudes and adjust their approach accordingly.

Up to £45,000 - £52,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
