Senior Pensions Administrator Required Immediately!
We are working closely with one of our clients, who are looking for a Senior Pensions Administrator to join the team. The ideal person for the job will be professional, ambitious, a proactive problem solver with exceptional communication skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
They will ensure that all information produced is done so accurately and in a timely fashion.
Duties:
- Day to day checking of employee details, ensuring that employees are on the correct scheme, all communications and details are correct.
- Checking quotes, advising employees, and ensuring quotes are accurate.
- Supporting the effective governance of the Pension and Assurance Scheme in accordance with Finance including:
Supporting the PAS Trustees.
Overseeing PAS accounts production and member communications.
Updating key policies and procedures
Enhance existing practices informed by analysis and awareness of best practice, internal and external developments.
- Support on pension related change programmes – e.g., Scheme consultation exercises.
- Support tender and review exercises, as necessary.
- Working with both internal (e.g., HR, Finance, Procurement) and external specialists and stakeholders.
- Assist with the management of the auto-enrolment of new employees into the relevant pension scheme including with appropriate processes and communications.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of pensions legislation, scheme rules.
What we are looking for:
- Experience across a broad range of pensions administration activities covering both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes.
- A pensions qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of current pensions legislation relating to pension provision.
- Proficiency in office IT systems (Microsoft 365 including Teams, Excel, and Word).
- Experience of computer-based pensions administration systems and working knowledge of payroll processes.
- Strong numeracy, analytical and written communication skills.
- Proven organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and adhere to tight deadlines
Desirable criteria:
- Previous experience of pension arrangements within the Higher Education
- and/or Public Sectors.
- Previous experience of Profund pensions administration system and SAP
- payroll system.
- Ability to exercise confidentiality at all times.
- Actively maintain and develop your personal professional credibility through engagement with CPD.
