Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pensions Administration team as a Senior Pensions Administrator.

The Role

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3 Pension Administrators dealing with the administration of all external Schemes we oversee. (University of Cambridge Retirement Savings Scheme (UCRSS), Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS), National Health Service Pension Scheme (NHSPS), Medical Research Council Pension Scheme (MRCPS) and the SEI Master Trust Scheme.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of Pensions, you will be responsible for the submission and reconciliation of the monthly interface files for all the external schemes. The role would suit someone with some previous supervisory skills or a person who is looking to take their first steps in a supervisory role.

Your Skills

  • You will be educated to a GCSE standard.
  • Excellent numeracy skills with a proven record of applying these skills in the workplace.
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage priorities to meet statutory deadlines.
  • Experience with processing large volumes of data and managing document flows are desirable for this role.

Location

The University is supportive of hybrid working, where some work is undertaken on University premises and some in a remote working environment. The aim of our approach is to enable as many staff as possible to work in a hybrid way if they wish and where their role allows.

The Finance Division has embraced hybrid working and individuals are currently working with their team two days a week from a University site, principally Greenwich House, and three days worked remotely (for those working a standard Mon to Fri week). This arrangement is subject to change and will not form a part of the contractual terms of the role.
