The Job
They have grown quickly and are now around 400 people globally and they have an outstanding People and Talent team. You’ll be reporting to the Head of People Partnering, working in a team of 5. This is a strategic Partnering role, working directly with the CTO, as well as working extremely closely with the Exec and Leadership teams.
The Engineering Department is around 110 people and is well structured, with a good culture but they want a real superstar to continue to drive change, level up the function, influence and make a difference. They are very experimental in what they do and are very data driven, so this person will have the space to try new things and experiment. They really want someone creative who is going to build them a world class Tech org.
Leadership development is a huge focus – they want to roll out Engineering Manager Training, to really up-skill and level up the Manager layer and enable better decision making through ensuring the CTO is confidence in the ability of their senior team.

What will you be doing?
- Acting as a strong go-between between The Tech org, People Ops and Centres of Excellence
- Developing Business Strategy for the Tech function, including Business Change
- Advise around market intelligence and competitor analysis of best-in-class People practices
- Supporting the Leadership team with communication of all updates and changes to the Tech organisation
- Being a strong voice of the management population’s and ensure buy-in for change
- Acting as an advocate between business managers and People Ops + CoEs
- Measuring cost and effectiveness of People solutions and interventions, as well as building headcount plans and budget forecasts for Tech
- Coaching and up-skilling leadership
What we’re looking for:
- Strong experience in strategic People Partnering Engineering teams specifically (ideally Engineering functions of more than 100 people)
- Strong commercial accumen and experience working within a product-led business
- Solid experience across comp & total reward strategy, org design, DEI, career development, performance management, and ER
- Strong project management skills along with solid knowledge of People Analytics and how it impacts business decisions
- Experience of working in a global, multi-cultural organnisation (nice to have)
- Experience in working in a scaling tech company (nice to have)
- The main thing we will be assessing for is strong examples of what you have actually done and how you have impacted the business, with the data to back it up

- We are being picky. This org has interviewed a number of people for this role directly, and have struggled to find people with the enough gravitas and personality to demonstrate they can really push back on senior stakeholders who can be quite punchy

The details:
- Up to £85,000 per year + annual salary reviews + equity
- Work abroad for 2 months a year
