Prospectus is excited to be working exclusively with our client to recruit their new Senior Philanthropy Manager to join their team. The organisation is part of a global charity that uses hospital ships to deliver free healthcare to people in some of the poorest countries in the world. Their volunteers work with host nations to improve healthcare systems by training local medical staff and renovating facilities to leave a lasting legacy. Since 1978, They have visited 56 countries, providing services worth more than £1.2 billion.
This role is offered on a permanent basis paying a salary between £45,000 to £50,000 per annum with flexible working arrangements at their Stevenage office.
The post holder will proactively manage a portfolio of substantial prospects and deliver major gift donations for our client. They will assess the donor pool and start building relationships to help fund the vital work of the organisation through the development and delivery of a major donor cultivation strategy to grow our income from high-value individual donors. The post holder will help to nurture relationships and identify growth opportunities, ensuring that key supporters are engaged with and support the work of Mercy Ships.
They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in soliciting and closing five and six figure gifts from Major Donors, Corporate Partners through writing high-quality proposals and reports. They are looking for a candidate with experience of communicating complex information to a lay audience and influencing multiple parties through written and verbal proposals, reports, and presentations. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of, and commitment to, the case for support for Mercy Ships work and is able to actively support, promote and encourage Mercy Ships’ mission and values.
