We are looking for a Senior Philanthropy Officer to join our Philanthropy & Partnerships team. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £35,240.11 per annum plus excellent benefits.
Since 1927, Cats Protection has helped thousands of cats each year across the UK. As a community of volunteers, employees, supporters and partners, we’ve improved the lives of millions of cats and transformed the way millions of people see and care for cats.
The Philanthropy team has ambitious growth plans and works with a mixed portfolio of Trusts, Grant-makers and Major Donors. All team members are supported by a central team ensuring they have the prospecting and donor development support needed to acquire and steward donors and funders. With new projects and a huge range of highly fundable work at Cats Protection, there is real potential to grow this area of income through highly tailored asks.
Responsibilities of our Senior Philanthropy Officer:
As Senior Philanthropy Officer you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Trusts, Grantmakers and Major Donor prospects, developing and delivering bespoke cultivation and solicitation plans to increase sustainable net income for Cats Protection.
A key focus of this role will be the development of strong and long-lasting relationships with funders that can support all areas of Cats Protection’s work. The Senior Philanthropy Officer will provide exceptional donor stewardship to deepen relationships with our existing donors and funders, while proactively developing new relationships across the UK.
What we’re looking for in a Senior Philanthropy Officer:
- Experience of identifying and creating tailored approach and cultivation strategies for high value prospects
- Experience of managing a mixed portfolio of high value donors and using relationship development strategies to maximise their lifetime value
- Ability to write compelling cases for support for bespoke funding applications and reports
- Ability to engage in high level networking with donors and prospects at events and meeting
- Experience of using a CRM database and recording data in line with data protection legislation
