Role: Senior Planner
Location: Cheltenham
Salary: £30000-£35000
We are proud to be representing a consultancy that provide professional planning advice on all planning related matters including site feasibility and planning opinions, pre-application advice, planning applications, discharge of planning conditions, Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) matters, planning appeals and expert witness, site promotion.
This forward-thinking consultancy are looking for a Senior Planner to join the office based in Cheltenham.
Essential Criteria for a Senior Planner:
- Degree and/or Masters in Town or Spatial Planning.
- Chartered Member of the RTPI.
- Minimum of 2 years planning experience post qualification.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
- Full driving licence and use of own car.
Responsibilities and Duties of a Senior Planner:
- Assessing the potential of site for a range of developments, identifying opportunities and constraints, and advising clients as such.
- Preparation and coordination of planning (and associated) applications including the drafting of supporting statements.
- Liaising with internal and external technical specialties, clients and Local Planning Authorities.
- Preparation of fee proposals and management of project budgets.
- Undertaking planning research as required by members of the team.
- Maintain a programme of CPD.
