Senior Planner / Principal Planner

Our client is a Local Authority in Greater Manchester and they require an experienced Town Planner to join them for a contract role.
You will be required to take on a large and varied caseload of new and legacy, minor and householder applications. The focus will be on clear and concise decision-making and the ability to clear high volume of cases. You will not be involved in any Major applications, but candidates with experience of dealing with Majors would be welcomed.
To apply for this role you will need to be a degree qualified Town Planner with a strong development management background. You will need to be comfortable managing your own caseload and have extensive experience of working on a large caseload of applications within a Local Planning Authority.
Our client will offer between £35 to £42 p/h Umbrella (this role is inside IR35), with an expected 37 hours week. Our client offers a hybrid working arrangement, office / site presence will be expected at least once a fortnight. Initial contract will run to the 1 April 2024, however, there is potential for it to run for 6 months from the start date.
