Osborne Richardson is delighted to be working with a highly regarded planning practice, who provide expert planning advice to a range of private and public sector clients across the London region. They are seeking a Senior Planner/Associate/Associate Director and this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional who is seeking to progress within a growing company.
The role specifics
- You will have a wide array of clients, working mostly on a range of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects
- Be comfortable in this client-facing role and communicate well with local authorities, landowners, developers and architects
- You will be responsible for providing clients with viable planning strategies in a comprehensive and timely manner
- Project managing a broad mix of planning submissions and appeals
- Maintain a good understanding of policies relating to residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes, as well as environmental statements
- Participate in public inquiries
- Help develop and deliver a strategic vision for the company to ensure profitable performance and delivery of key business goals.
Role requirements
All applicants must have either an RTPI accredited undergraduate or master’s degree and have a previous experience in the planning industry. Your understanding of the planning process, as well as your commercial awareness will be important.
You'll also need good professional writing skills, the ability to present reasoned advice in formal and informal environments and be able to to manage workload, budgets and project co-ordination (with sub-consultants).
Remuneration
You'll be offered a remuneration package ranging from £40,000 - £63,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience, plus other benefits. You'll also receive great training and development, with support to achieve your career goals.
The company annually reviews performance, giving employees the chance to receive pay rises when merited. The organisation additionally offers a clear promotion structure and there is a good opportunity to eventually progress to Director level.
