SENIOR PLANNING OFFICER – Two posts available
Salary: £41,737 - £45,692 per annum
Closing Date: Sunday 18th February
Hours per week: Full time, 37 per week
We have exciting plans to meet a strategic housing requirement of 11,000 homes by 2040, deliver masterplan regeneration projects in Andover and Romsey, provide for extensive new employment provision and contribute to the Council’s ambitious climate change agenda. We are a stunningly beautiful borough renowned for its rich natural beauty, cultural significance and rare and precious habitat. We are therefore hoping that you will join us to help deliver what our communities and unique environment needs.
The posts provide opportunities to work creatively on a wide variety of development schemes. With a positive attitude to development, you’ll be responsible for your own case load of interesting and complex applications, attending Committee, and representing the Council at appeal.
With previous experience of working in development management, you’ll be a confident communicator, with the ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Councillors, planning agents and members of the public.
