SalaryOur client are a successful accountancy practice which is based over 2 sites (Bedford and Huntingdon), they specialise in providing accountancy and taxation service to small busiesses UK wide.
As an Senior Practice Accountant your responsibilities will include;
- Perform daily activities of statutory reporting for Accounts, Book keeping, VAT Returns, Personal & Business Tax, Payroll, Business Health checks, Basic Tax Planning,
- Manage the current client portfolio
- Generating new client leads
- Selling services to existing clients
- Managing clients to ensure that the practice is giving a fantastic service
- Regular client contact, on a pro-active basis
- Managing the team workload to ensure that targets are met, review their work and support them in their personal development.
- Conduct appraisals meetings with junior members of the team and provide them with constructive feedback.
The ideal candiate will have the following;
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ICAEW/AFA/CIOT/AAT) with Two or more years experience as Senior Accountant. QBE would be considered for an outstanding candidate.
- Specific knowledge of TaxCalc, Quickbooks, Xero and other bookkeeping products
Experience in;
- Accounts & coorporation tax
- Payroll, bookkeeping & VAT
- Corportae and personal taxation
- Business advisory services
- Capital gains tax
The Employment package on offer;
- GBP37.5 k - GBP42.5k per annum
- Part time or full time hours - 25 - 36.5
- Location - Bedford town centre AND huntingdon
