Senior Practice Accountant

This highly respected international accounting firm, currently seeks a Senior Qualified Accountant to join their team on an initial contract basis. Ideally you will join the firm for an initial 4-6 months with a view to becoming a permanent member of staff n the autumn / winter of 2024. Applicants are welcome from candidates seeking full time work and reduced hours / Part Time. 

This role has become available due to continued client gains. The firm is well established and provides a broad range of services including general accounting and tax advice for both UK and international clients and audit services. Employing approximately forty-five staff, the firm is run by a highly skilled an ambitious management team. A variety of modern systems are used with the main IT package being IRIS. 

This role will suit an experienced ACA Qualified or ACCA Qualified Accountant with a proven track record of working within Practice. You will report to the Directors of the firm and enjoy a varied role whilst being a key contact for a well-established client portfolio.

The main duties will include:

• Preparing final accounts for a range of SME companies.
• Calculation of Corporation Tax Returns.
• Liaising directly with clients to discuss your findings and provide appropriate advice.
• Managing and developing a small team, which include planning and reviewing their work.

Previous experience of working within a firm of Chartered Accountants is essential. Working knowledge of IRIS is beneficial but not essential.
