Senior / Principal Electronics Engineer
ARCA is exclusively partnered with a business that are at the forefront of future mobility and we are looking for an Advanced Electronics Engineer to join their expanding team.
You will be responsible for the design and development of Battery Management System (BMS), the hardware involved for instrumentation and control of batteries for integration.
Job responsibilities
- Creation of BMS hardware design specifications for in-house BMS/HW projects.
- Design of digital and analogue electronics used in HV batteries.
- Schematics and PCB design using Altium.
- Hands-on Testing and de-bugging when required
- Perform design review with ECU suppliers for BMS hardware development, including DFMEA, FTA, FMECA etc.
Experience:
- Developing automotive or aerospace based ECU software and/or hardware.
- Proficient with ECU hardware and software development methodologies.
- Digital and analogue schematic circuit design, PCB layout and design verification.
Ideally you would also have experience with functional safety, aircraft or automotive standards:
- DO-178, DO-254, ARP 4754, ARP 4761 and DO-160.
- ISO 26262
This role is based out of Bristol however hybrid working is available and it is paying £70,000 - £80,000 p/a
