Cedar Recruitment are delighted to be helping with the recruitment of an unusual Senior Procurement Officer role for a leading, prestigious local authority in London.
The role is permanent and will require 1 day per week in the office with 4 days working from home.
Main Duties:
The purpose of the role will be to deliver expertise and guidance on procurement processes, across Sourcing, Contract Management/SRM and Procure to Pay (P2P) to the wider team, helping to bridge the gap between procurement and finance. You will also be accountable for the design and development of new processes to enhance overall performance and capabilities.
The successful candidate will be working with stakeholders at all levels, including lead commissioners, senior managers, buyers, contract managers, budget holders and others who use the systems for procurement, contract management and P2P (using SAP ERP) processes.
What you will need:
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience of using P2P systems such as SAP
- Experience of process improvements/developments from scope to implementation
- Exposure to educating the team or stakeholders on new the new processes
- Have or be working towards, a recognised professional qualification (CIPS, BCS, etc.) is ideal but not essential
- Exposure to PCR2015 or Contract Management is advantageous
