HSBC Asset Management (AM), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
The role holder will become a member of the Global Product team working with and reporting to the Global Head of Product Development & UK Head of Product. The HSBC AM Product Group oversees the strategic and commercial growth of AM Product manufacturing capabilities, encompassing Development, Management, Governance, Support, and Mandate delivery globally. The ideal candidate needs to have a solid grasp of regulations, be able to interpret new rules, conduct gap analyses and formulate proposals.

In this role you will:
- Manage various projects with overlapping timelines, ensuring on-time delivery while adhering to compliance and risk guidelines. Resolve conflicting priorities among stakeholders to meet tight deadlines.
- Consider requirements from regulators, distributors, and clients.
- Adapt to shifting business priorities, creating reliable products that comply with evolving commercial and regulatory standards.
- Foster strong relationships and trust with colleagues and stakeholders, engaging with Global businesses to determine optimal solutions for specific product and regulatory needs from an Investment/Operations/Risk/Compliance standpoint.
- Evaluate current processes and documentation to enhance efficiency and quality.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Substantial previous experience in asset management and familiarity with investment strategies, asset classes, and asset management products are essential for this position.
- Understanding of fund regulations, particularly SDR, UCITS, SFDR, and Mifid, would be highly advantageous for this role
- Previous involvement in product development and oversight of fund documentation and/or fund legal documentation is a prerequisite for this position.
- Robust project management and stakeholder engagement abilities are essential for this role. Ideally, the ideal candidate would have experience collaborating with stakeholders to fulfil regulatory filing requirements and deadlines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
This is a hybrid working role with the base location as London. The successful candidate will have to have the ability to commute to this location.
