Senior Product Manager

Expedia Group isseeking a talented and entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager with a passion fordata, machine learning science, and AI, who is eager to shape the future of our rapidly growing advertising business. In this high-impact, high-visibility role, you will be responsible for leading the development of cutting-edge auction capabilities across our entire range of digital advertising products.

You will make strategic decisions on how to foster a marketplace that optimizes for partner value, traveler relevancy, and ad monetization. The position will work closely across multiple teams in an area critical to Expedia Group’s growth and profitability goals. You should be an empathetic listener, capable of understanding and envisioning opportunities with a diverse set of partners.

What you will do:

Inspire: serve as the Senior Product Manager for an advertising auction team comprised of highly skilled machine learning scientists and data & software development engineers

AI product strategy: develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy for machine learning- and AI-driven solutions in the digital advertising space

Market research: analyze the market and competitive landscape to identify trends and opportunities for innovation

Product road-mapping: create and maintain a clear product roadmap, aligning it with business goals and customer needs

Cross-functional collaboration: collaborate with Machine Learning Science, Engineering, Experience Design, Analytics, and other teams to deliver step-change AI capabilities and models

Data utilization: leverage data-driven insights to identify new product opportunities and optimize existing offerings

User-centric approach: champion the user experience by ensuring products are intuitive, efficient, and customer-centric

Product launch: lead the successful launch of new AI-powered advertising products, features, and capabilities from concept to market introduction

Performance analysis: monitor model performance and iterate based on user feedback and data analytics and organization goals

Stakeholder management: team with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to gather insights, establish partnerships, and drive product success

Who you are:

Experienced: 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager,with a strong background in machine learning and AI, particularly in e-commerce or advertising

Collaborative: proven track record of teaming with machine learning scientists and engineers on ambitious product opportunities and of proposing elegant, creative solutions

Visionary: clear strategic vision for how AI can transform the travel and advertising industries

Data-driven: comfort with collecting and analyzing data from a variety of sources, identifying key insights, defining product optimization opportunities, and informing business decisions

Strong communicator: exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey results and opportunities to executives and cross-functional teams

Bias to action: unafraid to make decisions and take calculated risks in order to drive the product forward, ensuring that innovation and execution go hand in hand

Empathetic: inclusive, transparent, self-aware, and always curious and eager to learn

Advertising expertise: a deep understanding of paid search, advertising, and auction mechanics is strongly preferred
