As the Senior Program Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in the Project & Cost Accounting function, recording costs associated with specific projects or jobs within our client. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring accurate recording of all costs, invoices, time cards, and other direct project charges, assuring they are allocated to the correct charge accounts.

The Role:

So, what will you be doing as aSenior Program Accountant?

• Lead and manage large teams within the Project & Cost Accounting function.
• Input into the strategic plans of the function, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Implement and enforce policies to guarantee adherence to financial guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the creation of data that tracks, reports, and analyses the financial performance of projects.
• Collaborate with other parts of the function or business to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
• Assume responsibility for successful project delivery within the designated area, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

What are we looking for in our next Senior Program Accountant?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
• Proven experience in leading large teams within a Project & Cost Accounting function.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and project accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
