Our operations network, known for our speed, accuracy, and exceptional service, delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. To keep our operations network secure and assure operational continuity, we are looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our Personnel and Security Programs (PSP) team as Senior Program Manager. In this key role, you will own and manage complex, technical projects and programs that focus on automating Security and Loss Prevention processes across Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Key job responsibilities
- Own and drive complex projects and programs supporting organisational development and change management with a strong emphasis on standardising and optimising processes
- Support projects and programs related to people management, professional and organisational development, continuous improvement, change management, restructuring, standardising, and optimisation
- Ensure all your programs and initiatives align with organizational goals and objectives and they meet all relevant regulatory, legal, and labour requirements
- Collate and inspect data, track and report milestones, and present findings through weekly and monthly business reports
- Act as the lead for project management approaches and ensures consistent use of project management solutions and standards
A day in the life
As a Senior Program Manager on the PSP team, you will join a team of professionals supporting the Security and Loss Prevention team with organizational growth. To achieve this goal, you will own and drive complex projects as well as programs that have a strong emphasis on standardising and optimising processes. For example, you will oversee project management approaches and ensure consistent use of project management solutions and standards across Security and Loss Prevention to ensure consistency with department goals. You will demonstrate a high degree of ownership, have bias for action, and be responsible for your own work stream. You will collate and inspect data, track and report milestones, and present findings through weekly and monthly business reports. You will also prepare, maintain, and update project management databases. Your implemented solutions will be realistic, standardised, optimised, and where possible automated. They will resolve defined business problems, be cost effective, scalable, measurable, adoptable, and operationally acceptable for our customers. You will ensure all of your projects and programs align with organizational goals and objectives and they meet all relevant regulatory, legal, and labour requirements as well as obligations. You will also support the rest of the PSP team with their projects and programs related to people management, professional and organisational development, continuous improvement, change management, restructuring, standardising, and optimisation. Your scope of influence is internal customers from across EMEA and vendors from across the globe.
About the team
Working in partnership with our stakeholders, Security and Loss Prevention secures the Amazon supply chain end-to-end and promotes security during business conversations. The PSP team is a support function to Security and Loss Prevention with responsibility to drive projects and manage security programs that support organizational growth. The team leads projects that ensure operational standardization in the field and drives projects and programs that optimize and automate processes, enabling Security and Loss Prevention to work smarter and more agile. PSP also ensures that Security and Loss Prevention has sufficient, suitable, and skilled personnel to match growth and creates standardized, optimized, and automated mechanisms to support organizational growth and structure.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in program or project management
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Experience leading process improvements
