Introduction

This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week required onsite. The rest of the work can be done from home.

My client is a large defence and engineering consultancy who provide specialist support and complex engineering services to customers across the UK.

You will be working on a signalling project for a large rail organisation, so previous rail experience and an IRSE licence is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Take accountability for engineering activities within your project, including subcontracting organisations.
• Identify resources required for the project delivery.
• Delegation of engineering roles to deputies as required.
• Manage the engineering/technical change control process throughout the life of the project.
• Ensure an impact assessment of new and updated standards is undertaken where required.
• Manage non-compliances to engineering and technical standards
• Manage the Technical Query (TQ) and Request For Information (RFI) process.

Skills & experience

• Evidence of undertaking previous roles under Network Rail’s Engineering Management for Projects standard
• Demonstrable competence in Signalling Activities.
• Appropriate IRSE licence
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Signalling project work.
• Commercial Awareness.
• Recognised CDM training
• CSM awareness
• BIM awareness
• Recognised safety management training e.g. IOSH Managing Safely
