Job Title:Senior Project ManagerLocation: Rochester, Kent, we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: Circa £73,000 depending on skills and experience + car allowance and annual bonusesWhat you'll be doing:

Developing and maintaining excellent customer relations

Managing team, or teams of teams depending upon value and complexity

Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project

Driving ownership of Work Packages and tasks throughout the project team

Managing the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved

Using project management techniques, to enable early disclosure of problems and effective implementation of mitigation actions

Achieving the agreed project cost, sales, margin and cash flow targets

Accountability for performance and delivery of program(s)

Your skills and experiences: Essential:

Proven track record in delivery of a project or bid within tight timescale in a high pressured environment to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved

Using project management techniques, to enable early identification of problems and implementation of mitigation actions

Developing and maintaining excellent customer relations

Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project

Desirable:

Previous experience in Aerospace/Defence business

A formal project management qualification (e.g. APMP, PMQ, PMP or Prince 2) or equivalent experience

Broad cross functional business experience

Educated to degree level or equivalent - business or engineering preferably

Experience of mentoring and coaching

The role will be to lead a multidiscipline IPT which could be anywhere within the lifecycle of cradle to grave for our product development of military and commercial products.This role gives you the opportunity to work on a portfolio of projects with a rough estimate of £20 Million in value.
