Company Overview
Our client is a well established international real estate and infrastructure consultancy with offices in multiple key UK cities, who work with a variety of high calibre and long-standing clients across the public and private sector.
Their team in Manchester is undergoing a period of growth due to increased client demand, as a result they have the opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join their innovative and dynamic healthcare team working on some of the major healthcare projects in the region.
While this role is mainly healthcare focused there can be opportunities in other sectors if desired. Other sectors they work in are varied from £5m to £500m. Sectors include advanced manufacturing, defence and security (both private sector and MOD), large mixed use developments, social housing, local authority master planning and property developments, hotels, build to rent and more.
The Role
The successful SPM will lead on the delivery of major healthcare projects . Reporting directly to the Director of Project Management, the SPM will maintain and develop business across the region.
The successful candidate will manage the team to deliver the key stages of projects and ensure that they are on time, to high quality and within the specified budget. This will be spread throughout the region and in the healthcare sector where you will be working closely with the NHS, private healthcare providers and other public sector clients.
* Take responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects for the NHS and private health organisations.
* Act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.
Requirements
As Senior Project Manager you will have strong Project Management experience and ideally hold professional qualifications and memberships.
* Experience of working in a client-focused environment - working closely with clients, updating clients on progress, while taking personal responsibility in dealing with clients and striving to exceed their expectations
* Experience of working on healthcare schemes is highly desired but not essential if you have other public sector client experience
* Able to work on own initiative with strong motivation skills
* Good management skills
* Strong communication skills with experience working in a client-focused environment
