- Day rate: £503.69 – £523.38 PAYE, £650-£676 Umbrella.
- Location: London, SW6, Hybrid working arrangement dependent on the projects, 2- 3days a week.

We are seeking a Project Manager to join the Technology Pillar within a specialist law enforcement division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of specific projects across a range of technical disciplines, ensuring effective technology solutions to counter terrorism challenges.
Day to Day of the role:
- Lead a team to achieve consensus on business challenges within mid to high complexity projects, comfortable working across all stages of the technology lifecycle.
- Define and agree on methodologies, governance, and reporting mechanisms in line with Portfolio Office standards.
- Engage governing forums and senior stakeholders with ongoing change activity, influencing and building support for delivery.
- Manage tasks remotely or in person within a reactive environment, guiding the project towards an agreed delivery endpoint.
- Develop project product breakdown structures and plans, ensuring progress is monitored, controlled, and dependencies managed.
- Develop Business Cases and manage them through the organisations governance process.
- Proactively manage risks and issues, understanding and deploying management levers as needed.
- Handle commercial processes to ensure delivery contracts are in place, managing these contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate and engage with project stakeholders, maintaining key relationships and working in partnership to resolve problems.
- Implement and manage change control across project governance, defining change tolerance and impact assessment levels.
- Recommend and implement innovation across the businesses Technology to enhance project delivery and technical tooling.
- Manage the recruitment of technical resources to deliver complex technical projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- In-depth practical experience of Project Management within complex stakeholder/business environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, including MS Project and Visio.
- Experience working within secure technology-based projects and programmes enabling business change.
- Ability to manage financial budgets throughout the lifetime of a project.
- Experience in managing risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Experience with government procurement processes.
- PRINCE2: Practitioner and/or Agile Project Management Practitioner (or recognised industry equivalent qualification).
- Managing Successful Programmes: Practitioner (or recognised industry equivalent qualification).
- Agile Project Management Foundation & Practitioner (AgilePM®).
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
