As a leading, Multi-Disciplinary Construction Consultancy, Pick Everard are looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Project Manager.
 
We are seeking a confident individual who can take on major projects in the blue light sector, including one project valuing 40 million and a fire training facility valuing £10 million. You will be helping us to continue to deliver excellence throughout our rich, 160 year history. You will be a part of our Bury St Edmunds team of PM's, to include a minimum of 3 days a week working either with the client on site of in one of our offices. 
 
In this role, you will become an essential part of our Project Management team, and be able to produce a real, lasting impact upon the business. You will be autonomous, however you will receive fantastic support from our like-minded PM team within the Bury St Edmunds Office.  As part of this exciting role there will be opportunities to work with clients in East Anglia, Midlands and London, developing your own skills and knowledge across a variety of work.
 
Within this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing and communicating with the client, project stakeholders and other consultants appointed in order to meet the requirements of the project. You will be overseeing and managing the control of the project both pre and post-contract including financial expenditure throughout all RIBA stages. There will be an element of your role in which you can get involved in business development activities, including involvement in bids and presentations to clients. 
 
The successful candidate needs to be NEC accredited and conversant with managing the day to day contract deliver of multi-million pound projects.

Our ideal Senior Project Manager must have: 
  • Excellent knowledge of construction processes and have experience working in a similar role in the construction environment
  • Public sector experience due to the nature of the clients
  • Good knowledge of NEC contracts and experienced in administering NEC contracts
  • The ability to monitor progress and expenditure of projects through all of the RIBA stages
  • A clear understanding of risk management including identification, management, mitigation and risk transfer
 
It would be nice for you to have:
  • Member of a construction related professional body, such as RICS, CIOB, CIBSE, etc.
  • HNC, HND or a construction related degree
  • A strong track record of working in busy, fast - paced environments
  • Good understanding of IT including Microsoft package 
  • Net Zero and Sustainability knowledge would be a huge advantage
