Our in-house Legal team is instrumental in providing legal advice and support to all departments across South Oxfordshire District Council and Vale of White Horse District Council. We are looking to recruit experienced legal professionals to join our friendly Legal team, to help support the future growth and direction of this busy service.

You will be a highly skilled and motivated lawyer able to deal with both commercial and residential property matters and support in relation to property development and regeneration projects. The role will include transactional instructions from the Property team in respect of acquisitions, disposals, leases, licences, easements, wayleaves, and queries in relation to council owned property.

You will need experience of handling complex commercial property work, up to date knowledge of property law and be a qualified solicitor, barrister, chartered legal executive or licensed conveyancer. Experience of working in a local authority and supervising staff would be an advantage.
