As a Senior Public Health Analyst, you will work in the City and Hackney Public Health Intelligence Team (PHIT), which sits within the wider Public Health Service. You will obtain, analyse, interpret, and communicate a range of information and data relating to Public Health for a wide range of stakeholders across the local authorities, NHS and the wider system.

You will lead on development and production of Public Health Intelligence products, manage projects, and provide specialised advice relating to epidemiology, health intelligence, statistics, and research methods. You will build relationships and networks and promote collaboration and collegiality among stakeholders and partners. You will be result-oriented and proactive in working to progress the strategic objectives outlined in the City and Hackney PHIT Strategic Plan 2023-28. Please see attached our strategic plan.

This role requires excellent data management and analytical skills alongside the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a diverse set of audiences. You will be skilled in using data processing software such as Python (preferred), R or SQL and business intelligence software such as Tableau (preferred) or Power BI and you will have a proven track record of turning data into practicable recommendations for action. Due to the highly collaborative nature of the role, it is also essential that you have strong stakeholder and project management skills, evidenced by your previous work experience.
