AddressInsight Investment is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join the Performance and Attribution Team in Manchester. In this role, you will work in one of several development teams using Agile methods and the latest .NET technology. You will work closely with the business and be involved in all aspects of the secure systems development life cycle (S-SDLC) across different business areas within Insight.
This team is responsible for the successful build, implementation and ongoing management of all solutions that measure investment performance for clients and the attribution of that performance against specific factors.
Position Description
- Assess and recommend QA strategy based on functional and non-functional requirements
- Implement test automation strategy to reduce manual testing and improve test coverage
- Write clear and concise tests, recognizing the need to address technical debt
- Present information concisely to individuals within and outside of the Technology function
- Participate in the meetings with business stakeholders to understand requirements
- Evolve as a subject matter expert with product behaviour and domain understanding
- Contribute to defining and maintaining the agreed quality standards of the product
Experience Required
- Strong knowledge of C#, Javascript and SQL
- Node.js, Java and Cucumber experience desirable
- Tooling - Selenium, Cypress, Playwright and Postman, Soap UI, JMeter, Test Complete
- Experience building test automation frameworks and setting up test harnesses
- Familiar working in Agile teams performing iterative development
- Fundamentals and approaches:, TDD/BDD/ATDD, OOP, SOLID principles
- DVCS with Git or Mercurial
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity / Artifactory)
- AKS experience would be beneficial
- Ability to collaborate with end users, stakeholders, and team members
- Comfortable working with complex data on large systems with multiple integration points
- Measure quality and use it to drive continuous improvement
- Be able to communicate abstract or complex ideas or solutions effectively
- Experience triaging production issues and supporting the mitigation or remediation
