Senior Quality Assurance Executive/Lead Auditor

Our client is a distributor of products and logistical services to manufacturers of electronic equipment. They support many industries including automotive, medical and security, but the bulk of their activity is within the defence and harsh environment sectors. They stand as one of the largest distributors of its type with industry leading anti-counterfeit testing laboratories, over 200 employees worldwide and estimated sales of £300m.

They are looking to recruit an experienced and competent Senior Quality Assurance Executive or Lead Auditor (ISO9001) to join their existing team.

This is very much a customer focused role so it is important that you have excellent commercial awareness as you will be dealing with clients both on and off site. You must also have excellent procedural and processes skills. Ideally you will have experience in dealing with aerospace clients, but we will consider people with experience in dealing with medical, electronic or mechanical clients. The goal is for the successful applicant to be working towards leading and directing the team.

This is an onsite role.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • To support the business in all aspects of Quality Assurance - to ensure the business complies with International Standards, customer requirements and expectations in an effective and positive manner.
  • Act as company quality representative / point of contact on major company projects - Help solve day to day issues, manage supplier quality issues. Attend customer/supplier meetings.
  • Act as company quality representative on customer visits and audits, and supplier visits
  • Support customer and supplier corrective actions
  • Support and carry out internal and external audits
  • Ensure company quality documents are controlled and updated in line with International Standards and customer requirements
  • Provide appropriate internal/external training on company quality procedures and processes
  • Facilitate and provide input to company quality improvement activities
  • Support the company in relation to compliance

  • You must have a good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other core applications.
  • You must hold a valid UK driving licence and be capable of regular driving activity without significant adverse effects on your health, safety or wellbeing
  • Knowledge of/ history of working within an ISO/AS environment

Essential:

  • Experience of administration tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills.
  • Knowledge/Awareness of ISO9001 quality management standards (either direct or indirect role)
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of ISO17025 - laboratory management
  • ISO/AS internal audit training
  • Knowledge of Electronic or Mechanical Products
  • Knowledge of Share point
