Approach Personnel are working on behalf of a specialist Civil Engineering Contractor. We are seeking a dedicated individual to contribute to the successful delivery of projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation accurate and detailed cost estimates and tender documents.
- Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide reliable financial forecasts.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and control costs throughout the project life cycle.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and contractors to ensure effective cost management.
- Review and negotiate contracts, including terms and conditions, variations, and claims.
- Assess and value work completed, manage payments, and maintain precise records.
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and contract management.
- Identify and manage potential risks and opportunities to maximize project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost management
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in relevant software and technology used in quantity surveying.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
