Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor (PQS)
Location: London, West End
Salary: £80,000 to £100,000 + package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a busy and growing cost & project management consultancy in Central London. The Quantity Surveyor will join their leadership team and play a key role in delivering projects to the clients specifications as well as having input into the growth and development of the business.
With around 80 staff and a growing pipeline of clients including institutional funds, pension funds and high net worth individuals, the role promises exposure to a wide range of projects including the construction of luxury hotels, mixed use developments, leisure facilities, high specification offices and industrial units and much more. As an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, some of your key duties will include:
Providing leadership to a small team of Quantity Surveyors across a portfolio of projects
Ensure that your projects are being delivered on time, within budget and the required specifications
Act as the main point of contact for the client, stakeholders and contractors
Prepare and manage cost plans, budgets & estimates
Monitor and control project costs
Administration of contracts
Review and negotiation of contractual terms
Identify and asses potential commercial risks relating to cost and budgets
Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, project managers and various stakeholders
Contribute ideas to the wider leadership team to aid in the development of the business
Attend networking events to support the growth of the businessSenior Quantity Surveyors considering applying for this position must have experience working for a UK based main contractor or consultancy and be able to demonstrate their skills in managing large construction projects through the full life cycle. You'll need excellent communication skills, be keen to help others develop their careers and focused on the development and growth of your own career. Candidates that are chartered with the RICS will be at an advantage.
