They develop, build, maintain and operate the increasingly complex and critical infrastructure that supports our economies and local communities. They're MEP division are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support commercial projects in the Midlands area.

About your new role as Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Key accountabilities include:-Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with standard company Health Safety & Environmental procedures-Contribute to the management and maintenance of a contract cost reporting system-You'll ensure all financial information is managed, up-to-date and tracked-With support from the team, produce and provide accurate subcontract and procurement fore-casts and project cost to completion-Continually monitor costs in-line with budget-Provide interface information between customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and other depart-ments in a timely manner-Monitor cash flow and valuation plan, ensuring applications are made correctly and timely-Ensure contract variations are identified, valued and turned into agreed variation orders with the customer-Assist in effective record keeping to support change / claims and that applications for payment for variations are issued in a timely manner-Manage the subcontract tender process, including the selection of sub-contractors and provision of all relevant contract and schedule documentation.-Ensure that subcontracts are placed in an appropriate manner to step down appropriate responsibilities from the Head Contract. Including design considerations where necessary.-Provide accurate monthly reporting of cost and value on the project in line with the Company's reporting process.
About you:
You'll have a background in Construction and/or Building services Quantity Surveying and have the following qualifications and experience:
-Membership of a relevant professional body and/or relevant qualification, such as InstCES/RICS-Working knowledge of construction and contract law and various forms of Conditions of Con-tract-Detailed knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes-Knowledge and understanding of sub-contracting principles, together with the ability to draft and administer sub contracts-Working knowledge of labour productivity assessments
Must be willing to travel, have a right to work in the UK and be able to pass security assessments for Nuclear work
