We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team. As a Quantity Surveyor you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of our projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and adherence to budgets while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting cost estimates, budget preparation, and cost control for commercial, residential, and refurbishment developments.
- Procurement of materials, subcontractors, and services, ensuring value for money.
- Evaluating and managing project risks and opportunities.
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project success.
- Conducting feasibility studies and providing cost advice to support decision-making.
- Monitoring project progress and financial performance, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Managing variations and change orders, negotiating contracts, and resolving disputes.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and practices within the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in commercial, residential, and refurbishment developments.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software.
- Professional accreditation or membership (e.g., MRICS) is desirable but not essential.
