Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and oversee hotel projects primarily based in London, with occasional adhoc visits to sites in Birmingham and Manchester. This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, splitting time between home and site visits, approximately 2-3 times per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Review drawings and project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Conduct meetings with clients and subcontractors to discuss project requirements and progress.
Prepare cost estimates and budgets for hotel projects, ensuring cost control throughout.
Collaborate with the Buying team to procure materials and services at competitive rates.
Work closely with the Commercial Manager to provide regular reports on project finances.
Liaise with the M&E team, Site Managers, Document Controller, and subcontractors to coordinate project activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, preferably on hotel projects.
Strong understanding of cost estimation, budget control, and procurement processes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field is preferred.
Location and Working Conditions:
Based in London with occasional travel to sites in Birmingham and Manchester.
Hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days per week spent on-site and the remainder working from home.
Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
Salary and Benefits:
Competitive salary between £50,000 - £70,000, dependent on experience.
